In Short: We collect personal information that you provide to us.

We collect personal information that you voluntarily provide to us when you register on the Services, express an interest in obtaining information about us or our products and Services, when you participate in activities on the Services, or otherwise when you contact us.

Sensitive Information. We do not process sensitive information.

Social Media Login Data. We provide you with the option to register with us using your existing Google account. If you choose to register this way, we will collect certain profile information about you from Google, as described in the section called "HOW DO WE HANDLE YOUR SOCIAL LOGINS?" below.

Public display of your profile. Once you publish a trip log publicly (and an admin approves it), your display name (shown as first name + last initial, e.g. "Alex M.") and profile picture from Google are shown next to that log on browse pages, the Trip logs feed, your public profile page, and in any PDF exports of the log. We never display your email address publicly.

All personal information that you provide to us must be true, complete, and accurate, and you must notify us of any changes to such personal information.

Information automatically collected

In Short: Some information — such as your Internet Protocol (IP) address and/or browser and device characteristics — is collected automatically when you visit our Services.

We automatically collect certain information when you visit, use, or navigate the Services. This information does not reveal your specific identity but may include device and usage information, such as your IP address, browser and device characteristics, operating system, language preferences, referring URLs, device name, country, location, information about how and when you use our Services, and other technical information. No purpose in this notice will require us keeping your personal information for longer than the period of time in which users have an account with us.

When we have no ongoing legitimate business need to process your personal information, we will either delete or anonymize such information.

10. CONTROLS FOR DO-NOT-TRACK FEATURES

Most web browsers and some mobile operating systems and mobile applications include a Do-Not-Track ("DNT") feature or setting you can activate to signal your privacy preference not to have data about your online browsing activities monitored and collected. At this stage, no uniform technology standard for recognizing and implementing DNT signals has been finalized. As such, we do not currently respond to DNT browser signals or any other mechanism that automatically communicates your choice not to be tracked online. If a standard for online tracking is adopted that we must follow in the future, we will inform you about that practice in a revised version of this Privacy Notice.

13. HOW CAN YOU REVIEW, UPDATE, OR DELETE THE DATA WE COLLECT FROM YOU?

You may also have the right to withdraw your consent to our processing of your personal information. These rights may be limited in some circumstances by applicable law. Account deletion and approved public logs. You can delete your account at any time from the My trips page. Doing so permanently removes your profile, trip plans, private logs, and any pending public logs. However, trip logs you have already published and that have been approved as public will remain on the site, anonymized under "Deleted user." This is because other paddlers may already rely on those reports for planning. If you want a specific approved public log removed as well, delete it individually before deleting your account, or email us at contact@example.com and we will remove it on request.
